Death of a retired Police Officer : PC 505 Frederick Hewitson Gill

It is with regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer : PC 505 Frederick Hewitson Gill, who died on the 9^th September 2021 aged 80 years.

Fred joined Durham Constabulary on 31^st October 1966 serving at HQ Training, West Hartlepool, Hartlepool Central, Stanley, Darlington, Barnard Castle, Staindrop, Darlington and Middleton-St-George prior to him leaving the Force on 30^th June 1990.
Frederick was the much-loved father of his son Peter and daughter Anne-Marie, he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

A private family Cremation will take place.
Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
Donations in lieu of flowers have been requested to Alzheimer’s Society.
