Death of a retired Police Officer : Sgt 220 Norman Lee

It is with regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer : Sgt 220 Norman Lee, who died on the 7^th August 2021 aged 87yrs.

Norman joined Durham Constabulary in 1952 and served for 35years at Darlington, Consett, Bishop Auckland, Whickham Traffic, Traffic Patrols & Accident Unit Supervision. He retired on 31^st May 1987.
Following his retirement from the police service he was employed as Gate Security at HMP Durham.
Norman is survived by wife Lilian, daughters Barbara and Jayne, 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A funeral will take place on Tuesday 31^st August 2021, 13:00hrs at Durham Crematorium.
After the funeral service all are welcome at Chester-Le-Street Old Cricket Club, Ropery Lane, Chester le street.
