Death of a retired Police Officer : Detective Constable 1835 John Darwin

It is with regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer : Detective Constable 1835 John Darwin who passed away on the 30^th April 2018. He was aged 62 years.
He leaves a widow, Lynn
John joined Durham Constabulary on the 12^th March 1979 and had various postings including Durham City, HQ Drugs Squad and Durham CID, from where he retired on the 29^th March 2009
The funeral service will be taking place on the 16^th May at 10.30am and it will be held at St. Cuthbert's Church, Durham.
This will then be followed by the cremation service at 11.30am. The funeral service is not private.
Donations have been requested in lieu of flowers to the University Hospital of North Durham - Chemo Unit
