Death of a retired Police Officer : 1433 Joseph Downing

It is with regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer :  1433 Joseph Downing, who passed away on 5^th May 2018 aged 83 years.
Joseph does not leave a widow.
Joseph joined Durham Constabulary on 25^th June 1962 and served at HQ training, Consett, Chopwell and Chester-le-Street. He retired from traffic patrols on the 7^th February 1985.
The funeral service will be taking place on the 29^th May 2018 at 11:45am at Mountsett Crematorium, Dipton. The service is not private.
Donations have been requested in lieu of flowers to the University Hospital of North Durham, Chemo Unit.
