Death of a retired Police Officer : Inspector 69 Robert Storey

It is with regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer : Inspector 69 Robert Storey, who died on the 22nd November 2017. He was aged 96 years.
He does not leave a widow but leaves a daughter Barbara.
Mr Storey joined Durham Constabulary on the 28th December 1946 and his first posting was at Consett, then Shildon, Willington then Toronto. In 1955 he spent 5 months at Newbottle and then in 1959 he went to motor schools, he was then promoted to Sergeant in 1966 and then in 1969 he transferred to Bishop Auckland. Mr Storey was promoted to Inspector in 1973 where he continued to serve at Bishop Auckland until his retirement.
The funeral service will be taking place on the 5th December at 9.30am and will be held at Canford Crematorium, Bristol. The funeral service is not private.
