It is with regret that we have announce the death of a retired Police Officer : PC 1063 Osmund (Ossie) Outterside, who died on the 17th June 2017 in Bradbury House (Leonard Cheshire Home), Crook. He was aged 70 years.
Mr Outterside joined Durham Constabulary in September 1966 & initially served at Darlington, followed by Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland, Coundon Section and finally Barnard Castle from where he retired from in 1994.
He leaves a widow Marjorie and two sons, Mark and Stuart.
The funeral service will be taking place on Monday 26th June 2017 at 12pm at St. Wilfrid's RC Church, Hexham Street (off Etherley Lane), Bishop Auckland DL14 7PU, followed by cremation at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon Road, Bishop Auckland DL14 8PE the service is not private.
Donations have been requested in lieu of flowers to Leonard Cheshire Disability.
Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
