It is with regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer : Detective Sergeant 517 Bryan Clennell, who died on the 29th April 2017. He was aged 77 years.
Mr Clennell was appointed to Durham Constabulary on the 1st September 1971, he served at Stanley CID, Drug squad and then HQ Crime Support Unit before retiring on the 10th September 1993.
Mr Clennell does not leave a widow, but leaves two daughters and a son.
The funeral service is taking place on the 18th May 2017 at 12.30pm at St James Church, Burnopfield this will then be followed by the cremation service at Mount Sett Crematorium. The funeral service is not private.
Friends can meet up after the cremation service at Lintz Cricket Club, Burnopfield.
Donations have been requested in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimers Society UK.
