Death of a retired Police Officer : PC 656 George Ronald Maxwell

It is with regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer, PC 656 George Ronald Maxwell, who died on the 1^st May 2017. He was aged 84 years.
He leaves a widow Rita Maxwell.
George retired from Durham Constabulary in 1984.
The funeral service is taking place on the 10^th May at 1pm at Saint Matthew's Church, Newbottle, Houghton-le-spring, the service is not private. This will then be followed by a private cremation service.
The family have requested donations in lieu of flowers to Macmillan Cancer Support.
