It is with regret that we that we have to inform you of the death of a retired Police Officer : Sergeant 157 George Grey BATES who died on 23rd September 2013 aged 91 years.
Mr Bates was appointed 17 February 1941 and worked at Jarrow, Durham, Stockton, Blaydon and Ryton retiring from Jarrow Admin on 7th August 1966.
